Geometry and dance

Dancing is related with geometry, since dance attends to different geometrical figures, both to the corporal ones and to the positions in the plane (if it is group dancing).
The movement of the dancer can be understood as a dynamic system, studying the temporal evolution of their positions. This evolution is described by differential equations, in particular, the body is modeled by rotating like a rigid solid with an axis of symmetry similar to that of a spinning top.
Static regimes, the equilibria that appear in the concatenation of steps of a dancer, in the prelude of multiple pirouettes, or those corresponding to certain musical silences, can also be identified by differential equations.

Geometry in the body shape

Group geometry in the space

Here we have an incredible as an example of creating geometry with human body. We can use this resources with students and create something similar in an easier way.
